The RN Pediatric/Private Duty Clinical Supervisor manages, supervises, coordinates, evaluates, and develops pediatric to adult cases to ensure quality care delivery and appropriate case management with both continuous care and visits.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities for the RN Pediatric/Private Duty Clinical Supervisor
Receives referrals, determines services required, and Agency’s ability to meet needs for pediatric and waiver patients.
Assigns patient cases to RN Case Managers and oversees the care of all pediatric and waiver patients.
Assists RN Case Managers in establishing the initial Plan of Care and arranging for supplies and equipment for the client.
Acts as an educational resource to physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and utilization review staff regarding home health services and available coverage for pediatric and waiver patients.
Monitors documentation of pediatric and wavier patient clinical records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards of timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
Provides on-call support for clients and/or staff per schedule.
Manages/supervises a team of RN case managers, RNs, LPNs and Home Health Aides to provide effective and quality home care services (continuous and visits).
Identifies the educational needs of staff, provides or recommends educational resources, and organizes training and/or in-services.
Provides direct care and case management for assigned patients when necessary.
